Zdenko Grajcar
Founder, CEO & CTO

Zdenko Grajcar, a physicist from Slovakia, is recognized as a pioneer in the LED lighting business. He holds a Masters Degree from Univerzita Komenskeho v Bratislave and earned a PhD. from the Google Academy.

Over time, Zdenko has forged solid relationships with vendors, customers, and business leaders throughout North America, Asia and Europe. He has a remarkable ability to bring creative ideas to life and a reputation for demanding consistent quality and performance.

Zdenko was the CEO of Lumificient Technologies, a company he founded and later sold to Nexxus Lighting where he served as Chief Technology officer until his departure in December of 2008.

With a wealth of knowledge and experience and more ideas to revolutionize the way the world interfaces with LED lighting, Zdenko started Scientoid Technology, now called Once Innovations, in December of 2008. With a drive to out-perform every leading manufacturer in the industry, he has positioned the company as a principal contender in the solid-state lighting field.

Once Innovations, or ONCE, is a Minnesota-based LED technology developer and manufacturer of energy efficient LED lighting – including the AgriShift LED Poultry Light with spectral sensitivity mimicking that of broiler chickens, layer hens, and turkeys. ONCE has developed pioneering patent pending AC LED conditioning circuitry that enhances Power Factor (PF) and improves Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), while lowering Electromagnetic Interference (EMI). ONCE has achieved record luminous efficacies at the light engine level using its’ AC LED conditioning circuitry. ONCE also has patent pending AC LED technology for color shifting. The poultry optimized light is believed to be optimal light for chickens and turkeys. AgriShift AC LED lamps are also ideal for other livestock lighting applications, including Swine and Dairy.
