Brian Babb
New Business Development

Brian Babb has a diverse background that includes LED lighting, business management, and consultative sales, all of which makes him well suited to help Once Innovations clients’ capture a healthy share of a rapidly developing category.

Brian was the first staff hire of Lumificient Technologies, where over the next six years he helped build the company into a leader in the LED commercial sign business.

Brian tried his hand at retirement, but soon found he missed the thrill of the hunt and started North Coast SSL, a company that designed and sold LED lighting products for the boating market. In Spring of 2009 he received a call to be a key part what is today Once Innovations, a company Brian saw as having the components necessary to break the LED lighting market wide open.

Brian has one son, enjoys boating, traveling, and has a passion for anything LED. As he says, “Most folks say
my home looks like Vegas because of all the lights.
I’m always up for more cool stuff to try … and I’m really excited to be at the forefront of where our industry is unquestionably heading.”

Once Innovations, or ONCE, is a Minnesota-based LED technology developer and manufacturer of energy efficient LED lighting – including the AgriShift LED Poultry Light with spectral sensitivity mimicking that of broiler chickens, layer hens, and turkeys. ONCE has developed pioneering patent pending AC LED conditioning circuitry that enhances Power Factor (PF) and improves Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), while lowering Electromagnetic Interference (EMI). ONCE has achieved record luminous efficacies at the light engine level using its’ AC LED conditioning circuitry. ONCE also has patent pending AC LED technology for color shifting. The poultry optimized light is believed to be optimal light for chickens and turkeys. AgriShift AC LED lamps are also ideal for other livestock lighting applications, including Swine and Dairy.
